Plot
- Season 2 of The Witcher picks up immediately following Yennefer of Vengerberg (Anya Chalotra). Who used powerful fire magic to decimate Nilfgaard’s army at Sodden. As a result, Northern Kingdoms emerged victorious over South invasion thanks to the tireless work of their brave mages.
- Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill) and Princess Ciri (Freya Allan) are reunited once again, but face an overwhelming task: searching the battlefield. However, Geralt learns from Tissaia, Yennefer’s mentor (MyAnna Buring), that she has perished during this conflict; in spite of this heartbreak he leads Ciri to Kaer Morhen.
- On their journey, Geralt and Ciri face numerous perils, such as coming face-to-face with a deadly creature known as a bruxa. Once in Kaer Morhen, Geralt reconnects with fellow witchers like Vesemir (portrayed by Kim Bodnia), one of whom happens to be one of the oldest living witchers alive today.
- As it transpires, it becomes apparent that Yennefer is alive but captured by Fringilla Vigo, a Nilfgaardian mage played by Mimi M. Khayisa from Nilfgaardian Mage Fringilla Vigo of Nilfgaardian Mage Fringilla Vigo is kidnapped by Filavandrel, played by Tom Canton from Elven King Filavandrel and taken to a secret dig site before Fringilla Vigo can act further on her mission.
- At a dig site, Yennefer and Fringilla meet sorceress Francesca Findabair – played by Mecia Simson – the new leader of the elves. Inside a mysterious hut guided by Deathless Mother witch, each experience separate visions that profoundly impact Francesca who is pregnant; these visions lead to Francesca creating an alliance between elves, Fringilla, and Nilfgaard as a result of what she saw.
